Our test detects a metabolite in Nicotine called Cotinine. This is a biomarker for exposure to tobacco smoke and cotinine has a detection life span of several days. Cotinine levels under 10 ng/mL are considered to be consistent with no active smoking. Values of 10 ng/mL to 100 ng/mL are associate with light smoking or moderate passive exposure.

Like all drug testing devices, non-negative results must be confirmed in a lab by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS)
